Description of job: An usher will create a welcome environment for Customers. They will assist and direct Customers to their destination. This individual will provide movie and theatre information while ensuring a quality listening and viewing experience. They will implement auditorium management. An usher will keep theatre property clean and free of debris. They will maintain order and prevent panic in a crisis.  The Usher may also be asked to double as the Box Office Cashier, Concession Worker (if trained and of appropriate age), or Kitchen Worker, as staffing needs require. As a result, such an Employee must also be able to perform the essential job functions of those positions.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  1. Greets Customers and visitors.
  2. Announces information (seating availability, promotions, etc.)
  3. Tears tickets and directs Customers to an auditorium.
  4. Helps Customers find seats and invites Customer seating changes when the auditorium is full.
  5. Monitors auditorium for unruly behavior and movie presentation and sound quality.
  6. Cleans auditorium between each showing.
  7. Keeps theatre property clean and free from debris (lobby, aisles, restrooms, auditoriums, exits, parking lot, etc.)
  8. Changes marquee information when needed.
  9. Instructs and calms Customers in the event of an emergency.
  10. Transports supplies to and from storage rooms.
  11. Assists in the maintenance of the theatre (replacing light bulbs, cleaning walls, doors, mirrors, etc.)

Description of job: A theatre concessionist creates a welcome environment for Customers. They sell soft drinks, packaged candies, popcorn, hot dogs, ice cream, Starbucks coffee, and other food items to theatre patrons. This individual will operate and clean concession equipment. They will also clean, maintain, and stock the concession stand.  The Concession Worker may also be asked to double as the Box Office Cashier, Kitchen Support, or Usher, as staffing needs require, and, as a result, such an Employee must also be able to perform the essential job functions of those positions.  This location is equipped for alcohol sales. There are additional requirements for Employees who work with alcohol at this location. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  1. Greets Customers and visitors.
  2. Uses suggestive selling techniques.
  3. Provides fast and friendly service.
  4. Rings up the sale on a computer terminal, accepts payment, and makes change.
  5. Responsible for cash balance and inventory balance.
  6. Prepares food (popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, Starbucks, desserts, etc.)
  7. Properly operates cooking, warming, and popping equipment.
  8. Stocks concession and restaurant supplies.
  9. Cleans inside and outside of the concession stand, food service equipment, cooking equipment, and utensils.
  10. Watches for safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports to management.
  11. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

  Additional Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Alcohol Service:  

  1. Checks the identification and verifies the legal age for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  2. Places the appropriate stamped wristband on the Customer.
  3. Prepares, pours, and delivers alcoholic beverages to Customers.
  4. Understands and complies with state liquor laws and Cinemark policies with regard to alcohol service.
  5. Notifies management of impaired Customers, and does not serve them alcoholic beverages.
