Foothills - Stillness in the Rush Art Show
Stillness in the Rush is a temporary, inside-out pop-up exhibition installed in the windows of a store space in transition at the Foothills Mall. The artwork is visible from both outside the building and from within its interior walkways, yet the space itself is never entered. Instead, the windows act as portals—framing moments of pause within a place defined by movement.
Viewers are invited to pause and consider their own relationship to time, visibility, and purpose—recognizing that what is often overlooked still holds meaning and worth. The contrast between the artists’ visual languages reinforces this dialogue. Louise Cutler’s figurative works employ warm, peaceful tones with layered acrylic and metal leaf, offering stillness and contemplation. Adderley Grant Lord’s abstract compositions use bold, vibrant color to convey energy and movement. Together, the works hold tension between calm and motion—stillness in the midst of the rush.
On display in the former Xfinity, near Dick’s Sporting Goods.
